The VLS team maintains the highest of ethical and professional standards. Each member has over ten years of professional experience in legal or medical interpreting. We bring diverse linguistic skills necessary to ensure your project is completed with cultural sensitivity, professionalism and accuracy.

Our team is comprised of certified interpreters and translators. Members are certified in the areas of their expertise – including federal certification, administrative certification, healthcare/medical certification, or judicial certification. Our judicial interpreters have completed a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction and study from an accredited university, college, or professional school. Each has passed the language proficiency exam designed by the Judicial Council of the State of California to obtain their certification.

The interpreting and translation profession is highly skilled. It serves elements of our communities to ensure that Limited Language Proficient individuals have equal access to essential services. These services vary from interpreting for a patient in a medical facility to a civil litigation hearing, to a criminal trial in superior court . . . all circumstances which call for an immediate linguist presence in any one of over 200 languages.
